A HOME LIKE NO OTHER
VILLA ROGOWAY
THE PROJECT
Originally built in 1965 by renowned artist Alfred Rogoway, Villa Rogoway is a historic home nestled in the heart of Mijas Pueblo. Our restoration of this unique property focused on honoring its artistic legacy while bringing it back to its former glory.
Every detail was carefully considered to remain true to the authentic Andalusian style—whitewashed walls, traditional arches, and warm textures—while seamlessly introducing modern touches that enhance comfort and functionality. The result is a home that pays homage to its past, celebrates its artistic roots, and offers timeless elegance for contemporary living.
DESIGN LANGUAGE

The design language of Villa Rogoway embraces natural, earthy tones and tactile finishes that create a sense of warmth and connection to the landscape. Textured fabrics, soft neutral palettes, and a curated mix of stones and woods were chosen to feel both grounding and inviting, echoing the timeless qualities of Andalusian design.
Every element is rooted in nature—sun-washed walls, organic materials, and handcrafted details—balanced with modern simplicity to ensure the home feels serene, elegant, and enduring.

Earth Elements

One of the most remarkable features of Villa Rogoway is the original mosaic artwork created by Alfred Rogoway himself, permanently embedded into the fabric of the home. At the entrance, visitors are welcomed by two intertwined fish, a symbol of harmony and flow, setting the tone for the villa. In the master bathroom, a vibrant fruit bowl brings color and playfulness into an intimate space.
The true centerpiece, however, lies in the living room floor—a breathtaking mosaic of a woman playing a large stringed instrument, most closely resembling a cello or double bass. These mosaics are not only decorative but carry the spirit of Rogoway’s artistry, turning the home itself into a living canvas that celebrates both life and creativity.
